As
a child, I had an immense interest in arts and crafts of all kinds.
Throughout my school years,
I excelled in the arts and explored its many mediums, winning several
competitions. While in high school,
I married my middle school sweetheart and was inspired to create
my first scrapbook documenting our love for
each other, finding yet another medium to work in. Upon graduating,
I worked in various creative industries
continuing to create art in my spare time and began to show my work
in local galleries, winning awards.
In 1999, I began my professional relationship with Memory Makers
as a staff craft artist. While there,
I created hundreds of ideas, projects and pieces of artwork for
magazines, books, marketing and television.
In 2002, I left Memory Makers to pursue a career as a freelance
craft artist and author, creating art and writing
for industry magazines, designing art and products for manufactures,
and teaching workshops at conventions
around the country and in Canada.I am a Colorado native and I live
with my husband of fifteen years,
Brian, our dog, Hunter, and two cats, Sinatra and Baby. I like to
spend my spare time working in my home
studio creating mixed-media art, which is inspired by my family,
friends, life experiences and surroundings.
Besides my love of art, I also enjoy collecting eclectic vintage
items, cooking, gardening,
traveling and spending time with those I cherish.
My Resume
Since 1999, I have published numerous pieces of art including scrapbook
pages, cards, tags, fonts,
supporting art (step shots and art for graphic design), etc. Below,
